Flynn

$10.00 USD

Looking for an alternative to the typical - plastic - poly-fleece vest? We’ve got you covered! Flynn is a comfy, versatile vest pattern that allows you to knit your own natural fiber fleecy vest. The cozy, angled pockets warm your hands, while the zipper and folded stand-up collar make it an easy-to-wear wardrobe classic.

This pattern uses a modified Cocoknits Method, incorporating the collar into the upper back at the start and using short row shaping to create a diagonal pocket opening. Sew in a zipper at the end, or leave it as an open vest. If you've never sewn in a zipper before, now is your chance to build your skills with help from the tutorial on the Cocoknits website. The ultimate cozy vest for layering under a jacket or over a long sleeve tee – it’s a warm hug on a chilly day.

This is a Cocoknits Method pattern.

Before Purchasing This Pattern

This vest is worked using a modified Cocoknits Methoda commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger, in her On Demand Classes, and in tutorials on cocoknits.com.

All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Some knitters find that they can learn the new-to-them techniques with our free knit tutorials, while others are more comfortable purchasing an On Demand Class, or the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book, available on our website and at many local yarn stores.
