The Design

1

Speeds Up Drying Time

The arched shape and mesh material of the Pop-up Dryer allow for better airflow under the garment, greatly speeding up drying time.

2

Plastic-free Materials

This third-generation Pop-up Dryer is made with eco-friendly materials.** The mesh, edging, and straps are 100% cotton, the D-rings and internal wire are metal, and the internal wire is enclosed in silicone.

The previous version of our Pop-up Dryer was made with recycled plastic. As part of our Commitment to Sustainability, Julie worked for several years on improving the design to eliminate plastic.

**Note: the Pop-up Dryer is 100% plastic-free, but there is a plastic window on the packaging and an elastic to hold the dryer closed while not in use. We hope to make improvements on this in the future.

3

Compact Size

When open, the Pop-up Dryer measures 28" / 71 cm × 34" / 86 cm; roomy enough to hold a large sweater! With a quick twist, it folds down to a slim 11" / 28 cm diameter circle, making it easy to store when not in use.

How to Use + Pro Tips

1

How to Use

A

Remove the elastic band and unfold the Pop-up Dryer. Be careful - it will pop open very quickly!

B

Bend the strap edges together slightly, creating an arched "pringle" shape and giving slack in the straps.

C

Pull the strap ends to tighten them.

D

Lay your damp (not soaking!) garment on top, straightening and smoothing to ensure no folds or wrinkles. Allow to air dry fully.

Tip: Use tiles from the Knitter's Block for sleeves.

2

How to Close

A

With two hands, hold the edges of the flat Pop-up Dryer on opposite sides.

B

Twist one hand forward and the other hand back, bringing them closer together as you do so. The Pop-up Dryer will overlap into three circular layers.

C

Secure with the elastic band included.

3

Pro Tip 1: Use for Handwashing and Draining

When wet blocking or handwashing a garment, place the Pop-up Dryer flat over a sink or tub. The mesh will hold the garment while allowing water to drain through. No more ungainly sleeves flopping into the sink!

4

Pro Tip 2: Dry Flat

For even more airflow (and a little less fuss), prop the flat Pop-up Dryer on a bathtub edge, laundry drying rack, or between two chairs. This is best done with garments that don't require precise blocking.

5

Pro Tip 3: Use the Check Your Gauge Cloth

If you've carefully laid your garment on the Knitter's Block and want to speed up the final drying, you can use the Check Your Gauge Cloth to slide the damp garment onto the Pop-up Dryer. This will ease the moving process and help it maintain the garment's precise shape, requiring only minor adjustments.
