Needles

  • US 8 / 5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge) 32" / 80 cm or longer circular needle for he body and sleeves
  • US 5 / 3.75 mm needle for working sleeve ribbing
  • US 2-3 / 2.75-3.25 mm for working BO
  • US 0–3 / 2–3.25 mm double-pointed needle or any length circular needle (for picking up stitches)

Gauge

19 sts and 34 rows = 4" / 10 cm square in Garter St on largest needles

NOTE: Once sweater is knitted, the row gauge will probably stretch to 30-32 rows in 4” / 10 cm

Errata

Body

On p. 11, the final stitch count in the second paragraph should be moved to the end of the third paragraph as follows:

  • Next row (WS): *K to newly CO underarm sts, m1R into the extra slack yarn bef CO, k6, m1R into extra slack yarn after the CO; 8 sts total for underarm. (Note this technique neatens the CO) Repeat from * once, k to last 3 sts, sl 3 wyif. 171 (191, 211, 228, 247, 267, 284) sts plus 3 I-cord sts on each outer edge.

Finishing

On p. 13, the finishing instructions should include:

  • Whip stitch sides of pocket lining to the WS of sweater.
