We stayed in the UK’s premier Salcombe sailing resort in Devon for a 9-day terroir knitting retreat learning the Cocoknits Method using local British wool yarn from Blacker Yarns. Our group of 18 knitters (and one non-knitting husband) met in Bath, travelled by coach to the yarn mill for a tour and to buy our yarn, then onto our home for the week, The Moult - an iconic manor house overlooking the estuary. Fun fact, the Moult manor house was the setting for an Agatha Christie Poirot mystery! With meals provided by Kate - former private chef to King Charles II - much seaside exploration, and plenty of knitting time, we were well fed and royally entertained! The retreat was yet another successful collaboration between Cocoknits and the Textile Retreat Co. offering the perfect balance between relaxation, entertainment and learning.
