Quinn

$10.00 USD

While many did a deep dive into sourdough bread baking during quarantine, Julie dove into cables! She wanted ALL the cables, ALL the time - no filler stitch pattern here! The result is Quinn, with over-the-top cables and a relaxed, easy shape. The cables keep things moving along and, once established, are pretty easy to memorize, making Quinn a fun knit, with just the right amount of adventure. The shoulders are sloped to avoid a too-boxy fit, but there is no shaping in the body, streamlining both the knitting and the wearing. The resulting cardigan looks impressive but gives up nothing in comfort!

Before Purchasing This Pattern

This sweater is worked using a modifed Cocoknits Method, a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger, in her On Demand Classes, and in tutorials on cocoknits.com.

All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Some knitters find that they can learn the new-to-them techniques with our free knit tutorials, while others are more comfortable purchasing an On Demand Class, or the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book, available on our website and at many local yarn stores.

Note: The cardigan is intended to be worn oversized with approximately 8-10" / 20-25 cm ease around the bust; however, choose a size based on your personal fit preference.  Because there is no shaping for the body, keep in mind the circumference measurement should also accommodate your hip circumference.  To get smaller measurements, consider knitting at a smaller gauge, or larger gauge for a larger garment.
