Quick Gift Knits

Whether for a holiday, birthday, or just a surprise, gifting a handknit is particularly special. Love and care is poured into every stitch, and the final product is a unique treasure made just for that person. Sometimes, however, the gift list is long and the time is short. To take the pressure off, we've put together this list of options that knit up lickety split! From small accessories to big cozy sweaters, these patterns will save you time without sacrificing a single ounce of love.

Yarn info can be found on each item's pattern page.

The Patterns

1

Felted Pods

Not only can these soft little bowls be knit up in a flash, they're also a great way to use up (non-superwash) wool scrap yarn. When gifting these we love to fill them with succulents or candies - but there are lots of ways to use them.

Toasty Topper

Hats are a popular quick knit gift, and our Toasty Topper takes it to the next level: the helmet style is lower in the back to cover the head more completely, and the side flaps keep the ears nice and warm. With sizes from newborn to adult XL, you can make them for everyone on your gift list!

Milli Kerchief

The Milli Kerchief can be knit with any gauge to any size. A bulky version (like the one shown here) would knit up in no time! Better still, some simple math helps you use up every inch of your yarn: use 50% for the point, and 25% for each of the ties.

Lucia

Can you knit an entire sweater in just a few days? If it's a Lucia you can. This super bulky pullover is worked on US 19 (15 mm) needles, and the collar is integrated right into the pattern so there's no going back to pick up stitches later. Knit it cropped with short sleeves (Version B), or go for a full turtleneck and longer length (Version A).

Fuzz Off Comb

The more handknits are worn (and loved!), the more likely they are to develop pill balls. The Fuzz Off Comb efficiently shaves off those pesky pills to keep knits looking like new. The foldable body is made with biodegradable PLA, and the metal combs can easily be replaced.
