People sometimes comment that cocoknits runs a bit narrow through the upper sleeve. There is a reason!
Have you been stuck trying to figure out how to sew down pocket linings? Here’s a little trick that will make this job easier and give you a very tidy result.
Many years ago I accompanied my mother to a farm auction. Amongst the sale items, I found a couple balls of colorful rag yarn. As the auction went on in the background, I studied the “yarn” balls until I figured out how the strips were attached to each other. The balls are fun to make and display, even if you never knit anything with your “yarn”.
There are several ways to pick-up stitches. This is the version I use along a stockinette stitch (St st) edge as for a collar or front band of a cardigan.
Use these felted balls as ornaments on a tree or string them together to make a garland. They also make wonderful cat toys.
