I’ve needed outdoor pillows for the garden and finally came up with the solution — pillow covers knitted from rayon “raffia.” Available in spools of 100 yds and lots of fun colors; it’s the perfect summer knitting project!

- Small covers a 12 – 14" square pillow
- Large covers an 18 – 20" square pillow
Materials
Yarn
6 (8) spools of rayon raffia (100% rayon, 100 yds) used doubled. Available from papermart.com. See raffia ribbon, matte colors. Small sample knit in color kraft, large sample knit in color sage.
Needles
#13 circ needles 24" for small (36" for large)
or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge
10 sts and 14 rows = 4" square in St st using two strands raffia held together.
