Everyday Wrap designed by Julie Weisenberger

This wrap is very easy to knit and surprisingly warm… enough to cut the chill at a restaurant or party. Be sure to knit it in your very favorite and most flattering color and you will reach for it often!
Skills Needed
You need to know how to knit, purl, increase and bind off.
Size
(lying flat) Approximately 16" wide at neck opening, 34" across bottom and 13" long.
Materials
Yarn
Two skein Rowan Kid Silk Haze 25g, 229 yards.
Sample knitted in color 597.
Needles
#9 or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge
With #9 needles over ST st, 16 sts in 4" (row gauge not important).
Abbreviations
c.o. - cast on
b.o. - bind off
st(s) - stitch(es)
k1f&b - knit into the front and the back of the stitch
Directions
C.o. 52 sts and work in ST st slipping the first st of each row. Work until piece measures 48". B.o. all sts. Block lightly. Now lay piece RS up in front of you with the c.o. edge to your right and b.o. edge to your left. From the top left corner measure 13" across top and mark. From the c.o. edge measure 16" and mark. Fold along the 16" mark with RS facing out. Now fold diagonally as indicated on schematics and sew c.o. edge to side.
Ruffle
Along the seam p.u. 52 sts.
Row 1: k1f&b each st (104 sts).
Row 2: purl.
Row 3: as row 1 (208 sts).
Row 4: b.o. knitwise.
