The welted scarf provides interesting texture but is very easy to work. Any smooth yarn will show off the pattern, have fun experimenting!
Skills Needed
General knitting skills.
Size
One size, 5" wide x 50" long.
Materials
Yarn
3 skeins Blue Sky Alpaca's Sport Weight (100% baby Alpaca, 50g, 110 yards). Substitute any smooth textured yarn in sport–worsted weight.
Needles
#5 needles or appropriate size for yarn.
Gauge
This will depend upon your yarn; sample is 20 sts= 4" over St st. Row gauge not important.
