  1. I used to knit a lot of Irish fisherman sweaters. We stayed on Inis Meain in 2012. Although I was disappointed nor to find sheep being bred for wool or hand knitters, we enjoyed visiting the design studio and learning how they are keeping their handcraft alive. They are using fibers from outside such as cashmere, silk and merino. We were told that their sweaters are machine knit and hand finished, and sold in high hand stores abroad.
