wrap and turn (for short row shaping). To prevent holes in the piece and create a smooth transition, wrap a stitch as follows on a knit side:
- With yarn in back, slip the next stitch purlwise.
- Move the yarn between the needles to the front of work.
- Slip the same stitch back to the left needle. Turn work and bring yarn to the purl side between needles. Now one stitch has been wrapped.
- When you have completed all the short rows, you must hide the wraps. To do so, work to just before the wrapped stitch. Insert the right needle under the wrap and knitwise into the stitch. Knit the stitches together.
